A condesending cynic?
I pity…
The people who email forwards believing their wish will come true.
The people who yield to their emotions and allow them to manifest themselves.
The people who believe the crap dished out by the media.
The people who fall in love. It doesn’t exist… it’s nothing more than a mere mortal conviction.
The people who believe that some day peace will reign.
The people who believe that the Holocaust and the apartheid are behind us.
The people who lack imagination. Whose mind’s eye can’t paint its own images. Who can’t travel to a parallel universe and back.
Does that make me a disillusioned, condescending, cynic?

couldnt have said it better myself.

No. Makes you a realist.
Except for the love part, of course.

naaah it doesn’t make you a cynic. but hey, don’t you pity the poor people who watch the 8.30 teledramas?
agree with you on ‘love’ being a mere mortal conviction. It’s more of a creation of the deluded perversive mind actually, where lust comes dressed in a sheep’s skin, bringing a pink heart shaped card from Valentine… Urgh. Yuck. Bleargh!
Am I not living in total self denial?? LOL

Don’t you mean ‘apartheid’? Apart from that possible typo, I do agree with what you said. But I do think Meg, as much as even I don’t believe in ‘love’, it may exist…maybe not in a way you hope, or even I, but it may. Or not. Mostly not. But I hope it does. At least for you

naw you’re just like the rest of us.

A realist, I would say. Not sure about the love thing, though.

Yes that would make you a realist more than a cynic…apart from the love thing (I personally think it exists, it’s just not enough) and the world peace thing (not in our time, but gotta keep hoping and fight the good fight). Also about yielding to emotion, sometimes thats not such a bad thing:)

@ Ahmed- You’re with me on this? Awesome I’m not alone!
@ Dinidu and Queen- Not really… Realist wouldn’t be open to the possibility of parallel universes existing…
@ Abeeth- I couldn’t agree with you more on it being purely lust! People seem to be confusing lust with what they’d rather it be…love. It’s sad really… hope they’ll see the light and be set free from their own convictions…
@ Pumudu- Ah thanks! You should considered being a sub-editor, you’ve got an eye for it!
@ Hisham- Terribly sorry this post didn’t tickle your funny bone, you little chimp
@ Anon- That would make you a cynic…
@ N- Well…I don’t think I quite cut it as a realist… And about the ‘emotions’ thing… Well… I’m being condescending there… I’m more in control of my emotions that the average person, ergo I pity those who aren’t…

It is a pity.I agree with all of those but sometimes people can end up doing exactly what they pity.
