Dragons?
I guess I was in denial about my fascination for dragons.
I haven’t sketched in a while so I picked up a pencil and began sketching… and ended up with a dragon. A cartoony Discworld dragon.

Not the first time I’ve sketched a dragon though… there’s the fire and water dragon I sketched sometime back. Fact is, dragons are the first to crawl into my mind when I start sketching. Why not a spider or hippo?

.

And the abstracty Dragon I painted on the wall right over my bed.

Good afternoon from NZ…
I’ve been looking for a whimsical dragon for the cover of my next anthology for the writer’s group I manage (Dragon Writers). This wonderful fellow would fit the bill beautifully if you would allow me to use him. Full accreditation given with relevant links…

Yeah, that’s sounds cool
One problem though… When I drew that dragon I was trying to emmulate the work of Paul Kidby, an illustrator for the the DiscWorld novels by Terry Pratchett. So… it’s very much like his dragons… I wouldn’t want you getting sued for using it…
But if you like, I could sketch a whole different dragon for you while retaining the whimsical air…

Nope, we don’t want to face law suits! If you want to sketch away, go for it. Just be aware I can’t pay… I’ve published three books this year (this one will be #4) and spent a barrel of cash getting them out there.

Neat! I’d love to see
Do post a link!
As for who made it, that would be Paul Kidby

The markings are completely different and the neck went dodged but it looks okay apart from that…i hope. xD

I gave him the name frumpy…i dunno why, it just kinda sprung to mind
