It’s been almost six years since I created this blog. But over this half decade I’ve transformed and out grown the Messiah of Madness; or as one of my blogging friends teases, ‘MoM’.
I started out as an anonymous blogger, sharing little bits of my life with other Sri Lankans and the rest of the world. I was fiercely protective of my identity, but that wasn’t to last. Sri Lanka is too small. And far too inquisitive! I’ve got no complaints though, because in the four years after I was identified, I met some amazing bloggers, some of whom have become my closest friends.
Reading some of my posts from back in 2008 I think my writing has actually deteriorated. Years of being a newspaper journalist equates to years of churning out articles, and I’m feeling drained. I should probably take a break, but not a break from blogging of course. I think I enjoy the freedom of tossing my opinions into a blog post– an anathema in news writing.
So do continue to read my opinions on everything between politics to pol-sambol, check out my photography and whatever else I get up to on my new blog- Life in Lanka
See you there, cheers!
